Polish the rice, then rinse it. Add into the rice cooker with your special vinegar blend. Julienne the vegetables and prepare the fish. Listen to the symphony of the food. Tomoe lived by that, loved it, and Mikage rarely asked him to do more than commune with the sushi. But one night, as Tomoe sat down at the front-of-house, he was haunted by a woman’s eyes as she looked in. Mikage invites her in for an impromptu chef’s table, and Tomoe finds that his life and food will never be the same, now that he has met “Nanami.”
It started with a rose gold lamp, designed with intricately inlaid flowers. A bargain, Kojiro thought. But when he took it home, he learned there was much more to this lamp than just its beautiful design. Now he must decide what to do with his wishes three, offered to him by a lonely sakura-haired genie. Maybe this was why Kojiro was drawn to this lamp in the first place!
No one ever glances behind the scenes in a world filled with superheroes. But Akaashi enjoys being invisible, enjoys what it means to take care of the ones putting their lives on the line day-in and day-out. Yes, Bokuto is a pain in the ass, but Akaashi would not have it any other way.
What would happen if Éomer in his protectiveness of his sister had challenged Faramir to a duel? It would be a calamity, and ways out would be hard to find. We step into the mind of Faramir after the duel has been challenged, trying to remain calm as well as calm his livid fiancée. Luckily for us, Éowyn has an idea, one that her trusty halfling friends happily abide.
Éowyn woke up, robbed of her glorious death, to find that she was yet again a prisoner. Watching her brother march away, she finds the healing she did not know she needed in the form of two companions: her soldier in arms Meriadoc Brandybuck and the new Steward of Gondor Faramir. Those days in the Houses of Healing opened her heart, and finally she knew what was in it. As they await the fate of Middle Earth, their healing runs deeper than the wounds and shadows.
After Éowyn accepts Faramir’s proposal, four letters arrive at the Cormallen with the intent to smooth the way for the new couple. While Éomer frets about the engagement (and Faramir’s request for Éowyn’s hand), his squire and the Steward’s uncle rejoice and seek to convince Éomer of the suitability of such a match.
For Faramir and Éowyn, it seems that bliss is finally upon them. Not only have they received official word that Éomer has consented, but the host is now returning. They will get to see their beloved Hobbits and family again, and celebrate the joy of the moment. But shadows do not surrender hearts easily. Faramir is haunted by the reality of taking up his father's title, Éowyn is haunted by the shame of abandoning her people and Lord Aragorn's scorn and pity, and Aragorn is haunted by the mistakes of his selfishness that nearly cost someone their life. All they need to remember is that healing is best undertaken with an open heart, and in the hands of those they trust. Will they find their solace and their forgiveness amongst the frenzy of the coming new age?
Time will tell.
